I'm Lucy, the baker, creator and the person behind every order you receive.
I've loved baking for as long as I can remember. I've been baking since I was a little girl, and over the years what started as something I simply loved doing has grown into something I never imagined would become my full-time career.
From a love of baking to 41 Sugar Lane
For years, friends, family and customers would tell me how much they loved my bakes and that they wished more people could try them.
That encouragement stayed with me.
After dreaming about turning my passion into a business, I finally took the leap and opened 41 Sugar Lane in May 2026.
What started as a dream has now become my full-time business, and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do what I love every day.
Based in Preston, Lancashire, I create freshly made bakes with plenty of care and attention to detail, whether it's something you're ordering for yourself, sharing with family and friends, or celebrating a special occasion.
A small business with big dreams
41 Sugar Lane is still at the beginning of its journey, and I'm so excited to see where it goes.
One day, my dream is to have my own coffee shop — somewhere you can walk in, enjoy a lovely drink, choose from freshly made 41 Sugar Lane bakes and, hopefully, feel right at home.
For now, I'm building that dream one bake at a time.
